Learning Curve
Started really messing with Lightroom tonight. I'm just not comfortable with the workflow, and not happy that the program wants to be smarter than the user and not permit certain things...like the ability to save and overwrite the originals with modified images. Keeping the originals pristine is nice if you're only working in Adobe products, but since I don't want to spend $$hundreds on Photoshop for editing, I want my changes to be made to the originals from Lightroom permanently. I'm sure I'll get used to it, or just work around it somehow.
Anyway, have the initial tweaking done to the first batch of photos from 2011. I just need to pick out a dozen or so for a bit more processing then publish them, maybe by the weekend?
I know, I know..I keep saying I will. I guess only time will tell.

Photo update coming soon..really, this time!
After about 4 days of trying to figure out how to get nearly 40GB of kigurumi photos and video into Lightroom on my rather slow laptop, I finally was able to get everything indexed. Sadly, I confirmed that I only had three photoshoots last year, including San Japan, so there's not much to go on this time. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be working on actually processing the pictures from last January's shoot posted by the end of the week!
I'm not sure why but I lost about 300 individual images that were corrupted or otherwise just not viewable in any graphics program I have. Fortuntely, most of them were duplicates or export copies, but there were a few first-gen pics lost too. Most of them were 3-4 years old, so I'm not sure what happened although I think I lost a hard drive a couple of years ago which may have been the cause of the corruption. Oh well...I still have plenty of pics to go though!
